Fun Day / 1-Day Classes

Two age groups – ages 3-5 & ages 6-8:
Let’s have fun this summer! Enroll in our Fun Day / One Day Classes! Each class meets just one time for 1 ½ to 2 hours, depending on the age group. Each option has a different theme. Participants will learn ballet, jazz dance, hip hop, tumbling or acrobatics and will also create a fun craft project to take home! You can sign up for as many as you like and we will deduct 5% from your fees for signing up for 2 or more Fun Day / One Day Classes. These classes have been extremely popular, so sign up now and reserve your spot!

Wednesday Night Dance Clinics
BACK BY POPULAR DEMAND!
For dancers with previous training, except Acrobatics, in two age groups – ages 9-11 & ages 12 & up:
Don’t let yourself fall behind this summer! Enroll in one or more of our Wednesday Dance Clinics! Each option meets just one time per week, on Wednesdays from 5pm-8pm. Each class will have two focuses, for example: Ballet Choreography & Jazz Jumps/Leaps/Turns. Check the schedule for specifics. Students will begin class in one studio with one instructor, be given a 15-minute break halfway thru and swap instructors for the remainder of the evening.  You can sign up for as many as you like, and we will deduct 5% from your fees for signing up for 2 or more Wednesday Dance Clinics. Dancers may attend half the class if they do not have experience in one of the types of dance offered. By doing so, you would pay half the fee but you will forfeit the 5% discount by attending multiple half classes. Contemporary Dance is open to any dancers with previous training in ballet, jazz or lyrical. Acrobatics is open to all students within the age range offered.

 

***WEEKLY DANCE CLASSES***

6-week session starts Monday, June 28th and runs thru Saturday, August 7th.
Preschool/Kindergarten dance clsses start 1 week later and meet for 5 weeks.
Vacationing? No problem! Pre-pay for only the classes you know you will be able to attend!
Classes are priced by the session and individually. (See the following schedule).

PRESCHOOL/KINDERGARTEN DANCE / TUMBLING / ACROBATICS - ages 3, 4, & 5
Choose from Creative Dance or PreBallet with Tap as a stand-alone class or combined with tumbling and acrobatics. Wednesday morning classes are taught by Diane Nekritz and Saturday morning classes are taught by Cindee Kassel. Check schedule for specific days/times/fees.

NEW! ALL AGES TUMBLING
Divided into 3 different age groups, ages 6-8 / 9-11 / 12 & up, students will learn to execute tumbling moves appropriate for each age range, beginning with the basics like cartwheels, round-offs, backbends, walk-overs and possibly more advanced skills if the class progression permits. Taught by Tumbling Coach, Phil Fabry. This is open to any level from beginners to those with previous experience.

BALLET & JAZZ COMBO
Ballet & Jazz technique/routines for beginners as well as those with previous training. Classes are taught by Owner/Director, Alyson Hawkins.

RHYTHM TAP TECHNIQUE
Learn some new ways to approach the art of tap dance. For dancers with previous tap training. Taught by Andy Tomlinson, member of the world-touring tap company, "BAM!"

HIP HOP
This is old school style hip hop, pop & lock for girls and guys. Classes are taught by Andy Tomlinson.

POINTE 1 for new Pointe students (instructor permission is required) - ages 12 & up
If your daughter has been recommended to move on to Ballet Intermediate 3 with Pointe, it is EXTREMELY important for her to attend this 6-week class in order to get a head start for the Fall. We have offered this program for the last 3 summers. Results have shown that those who did not attend were far behind in strength and progress once September came around, compared to those who attended.

POINTE 2 for students who have been on Pointe a minimum of 9 months - ages 13 & up
Both Pointe classes are taught by Owner/Director, Alyson Hawkins.
