All studios are NOT the same...

Experience the difference at WDA!

Mission Statement:

Our mission is to teach students proper technique

in a fun and positive atmosphere.

In our traditional dance studio setting, students will develop discipline, good posture, grace, respect for others, high self-esteem, and gain a love and appreciation for the arts.

WDA students do not attend dance competitions; our focus is on the dancer’s growth. There are 3 program options available:

Recreational Dance:

For a short-term commitment, students can enroll in an 8-10 Week Recreational Dance Class.  This “try-it-out” type of session, focuses on the basic techniques of their chosen type of dance. It is a great way to see what a student likes best before making the commitment to our 9-month program.

9-Month Program: Runs September through first week in June

Beginner students will develop a love for dance and obtain a solid foundation of technique to build upon. Students with experience will be challenged on a weekly basis, building on the strong technique they have established, while nurturing their passion for the art. All students in our 9-month program have the option of participating in an annual performance.

Summer Program: OPEN Enrollment begins APRIL 15th!

Our Summer program is quite different from the regular school year. We offer 1-day workshops, half-day CAMPS, an 8-week dance program and Intensives for Intermediate & Advanced dancers. Vacationing? Pricing is flexible! We offer a “Pay-per-Class” option in the Summer, so you ALWAYS get what you pay for!

Drama Workshops: 8-10 week segments during the school year

Improv games, scene study, blocking, confidence building and just plain FUN! These workshops will teach you the basics of ACTING, while helping you break out of your shell, improving speaking and memorization skills.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Whether a student is taking class just for fun, or has aspirations of becoming a professional dancer or pursuing a teaching career, our instructors focus on helping each and every student become a well-rounded, strong dancer.
All classes are taught by a staff of knowledgeable, well-qualified adult instructors who have many years of experience.
Established in 2000, WDA is independently owned and operated. Our class fees are competitively priced and we offer excellent discounts for students who attend multiple classes as individuals or as a family. Several payment options are available to meet any budget.
Over the years, many students who have gone through our program have majored or minored in dance in a college program, have auditioned for the famed Julliard School in New York, the School of the Milwaukee Ballet and the Joffrey Ballet summer program.
Giving Back to the Community:
In addition to our food drives for Open Arms Mission, every Holiday Season, WDA partners up with One Hope United in Lake Villa. To this date, our students and families have donated gifts to over 1,100 local foster children. We also assist local organizations with fundraising by hosting dance workshops. If you are interested in a fundraiser for your organization, give us a call!
